2013 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Crew Cab Truck Review

2013 GMC Sierra 1500 AWD Crew Cab 143.5" Denali in El Paso, Texas For ...

White Diamond Tricoat 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Crew Cab AWD ...

2013 Denali Crew Cab is such a good truck that it will be interesting to get behind the wheel. Yes, it is pricey, but so are others in this neighborhood, including high-end Ford F-150s. This Denali-trimmed model is in the same league as the best luxury models from the likes of Range Rover, Infiniti, with a handsome appearance. The steering is true, brakes are sufficient and there's good body control for such a big, heavy, high-riding vehicle.

This is a good truck, but it's evident that it's behind the eight ball. It doesn't handle as well as I'd like, it doesn't have the get-up-and-go that I expected and it feels outdated. The outside it still looks good, especially in the Denali trim. The Denali Crew Cab is luxurious and looks good. The materials are nice, the technology is easy to use and everything is well laid out. But everything feels like it's on the older side.

Volkswagen XL1 Review

Volkswagen XL1 Concept (2011)

Volkswagen XL1: un nuovo video in attesa del Salone di Ginevra 2013

the fastest Volkswagen machinery that pops up on our radar, but it is rarely, if ever, applied to anything conceived purely for economy. the limited-production Volkswagen XL1 lacks the outright pace to get us overly excited, its claimed 261-mpg combined consumption.

Measuring just 152.8 inches long, 65.0 wide and 45.3 tall. A futuristic teardrop body design and enclosed rear wheels, as well as so-called e-mirrors using rear-facing cameras in place of conventional mirrors and a flat under-body.

The XL1 is based around a lightweight carbon-fiber reinforced plastic monocoque cured in the same autoclave as the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder. A suspension with double wishbones up front and a rear semitrailing link arrangement. It supports 15-inch magnesium front wheels shod with ultra narrow 115/80 profile tires and 16-inch magnesium rear wheels with conventional 145/55 tires. The brakes use carbon-ceramic discs to help lower weight.

The passenger seat is mounted slightly behind the driver's. Turn the key, release the electronic parking brake, slide the gear lever back a few notches, and the XL1 hums away from a standstill on electric power.

The XL1's compact drive-train, a tiny 800cc diesel engine producing 50 hp and an electric motor making 27 hp. They drive the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. A 2.64-gallon tank in the rear contains the diesel. A 5.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery mounted in the front of the passenger foot-well delivers charge to the electric motor.

The Volkswagen XL1's price has yet to be revealed. The XL1 can run on diesel power, electric power or, in so-called boost mode, a combination of both sources for more sprite performance. In boost mode, the diesel and electric motor generate a combined 68 hp and 103 lb-ft of torque. In hybrid mode, the system's electronics cap output o hit what Volkswagen engineers describe as the sweet spot between performance and economy.

A 1,753-pound curb weight, the little bugger can reach 62 mph in 12.7 seconds and hit 100 mph on the top end. The overall range is 280 miles—37 miles can be traveled on electricity alone. Volkswagen is tight-lipped on long-term XL1 production plans. At first, just 50 of the coupes will be built, though VW development boss Ulrich Hackenberg hints at another 150 if there is enough demand.

While there are no immediate plans for North American sales or leasing programs, you can bet some of the car's technology will go mainstream.

Massive Attack on Wordpress Worldwide!!

A large distributed brute force attack against WordPress sites is understood to be occurring. A large botnet with more than 90,000 servers is attempting to log in by cycling through different usernames and passwords. According to a blog update on IXWebHosting, they are currently experiencing issues where there is a brute force attack on the default WordPress log-in pages of  their customers. This attack is greatly effecting Linux servers and attack is possibly conducted using botnets. To solve the issue, hosting administrator block all connections to wp-login.php.

At this moment, we highly recommend you log into any WordPress installation you have and change the password to something that meets the security requirements specified on the WordPress website. These requirements are fairly typical of a secure password: upper and lowercase letters, at least eight characters long, and including “special” characters (^%$#&@*)." Hostgator recommends to their users..

A large bot-net has been attempting to break into WordPress websites by continually trying to guess the username and password to get into the WordPress admin dashboard. This is affecting almost every major web hosting company around the world. Our Network Operations Centre (NOC) has detected a significant increase in bot-net activity in the last 24 hours. Spiral Hosting also issue notice to their customers.

2013 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Limited Review

Subaru made some fairly major platform changes. The Legacy proved itself a quiet, capable commuter with plenty of power from its unique flat-six engine. The company has done a fantastic job of smoothing out the oddball vibrations of its flat engine, along with wind and road noise, in the Legacy sedan. Rear-seat space is very generous in this midsize four-door banger, and the overall cabin is open and airy even. And, while I never had an opportunity to put the company's symmetric all-wheel drive to the test, I've had enough Subaru time under my belt to expect this sedan to be a mountain goat in the worst Detroit winters.

The Legacy's unremarkable 21 mpg combined EPA rating. The 2013 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Limited is a slick sedan flying under most buyers' radars. Like the Legacy. I'd like to like it even more with a few drive-train updates.

1965 Shelby GT350 - For Sale!!

For Pictures On The 1965 Shelby GT350 Click Here

This is one of only 36 R models built. Over the years, the track has taken it's toll, and less than 25 are known to exist. In 1965, Shelby American carefully crafted the ultimate performance Mustang designed to win in the 'B Production' class against Corvettes and XKE Jaguars. The R models enjoyed a stellar record. This car has been fully restored without ruining the unique racing heritage. A log book is included with the purchase showing a racing history at Datona, where it placed third, and at success venues throughout the western US.

Under the fiberglass hood is a 'K' code engine, modified with a 715 cfm, 4 bbl carb sitting on top of a high rise intake manifold. Fabricated Tri Y headers feed dual side exhausts with glass pack mufflers. An aluminum case Borg Warner T-10 transmission, reinforced front A arms, rear axle trailing arms, and Koni shocks, big brakes and quick ratio steering made it a formidable competitor. To make it a '2 seater' under the 'B Production' homologation requirements, the rear seat was removed and a package shelf installed. This Shelby GT350 R model is in world class condition and ready for the museum, or for the serious collector. Our passion at WeBe Autos is Classic, Muscle, Vintage and Exotics. Description: In a world full of pristine numbers matching Chevelles and very well done SS tributes it's always nice to see something a bit different. And it takes some serious skill to pull off a build that is TRULY different without being either too extreme to honor its original attributes or a blatant pro-tourer. An authentic L78 big block car this awesome 1969 Chevelle has been completely restored fitted with an era-correct 427 and decked in traditional Yenko war paint. But here's the best part it isn't just another rare show piece that's a practice in moribund competition and garage queen gimmicks. If you're searching for some old school Chevrolet muscle that wraps killer performance in outstanding good looks your Chevelle has arrived! 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible - For Sale! - RARE!!

1970 Plymouth Cuda HemiCuda Convertible - Image 1 of 24

Location: Loveland, Colorado 80538
Mileage: 100
Trans: Automatic
Condition: Mint
Exterior: Plum Crazy Custom
Interior: White

Description:
A 1970 Plum Crazy HemiCuda Convertible with a 528 Aluminum 650 HP Hemi engine. We are selling our 1970 HemiCuda Convertible that was just finished after a nearly 5 year restoration.  We have not driven the car on highways and have not raced it in the 1/4 mile or shown it in any Mopar Sanctioned events.   The car is capable of quarter mile times of 11 to 12 seconds and will handle a road course like a sports car.  It will be an award winner at any show you take it to and it turns heads where ever is goes.

The car was completely disassembled and blasted on a rotisserie.  From that point, every body part with any rust or damage was replaced with NOS or a Mopar authorized reproduction part.  To handle the power of the Hemi, the frame rails were capped with 18 gal. steel caps that were welded full length to the floor pans.  All of the floor pans, firewall and cowl panels are full length welded along each seam for strength.  The front radiator support is a 2" x 2" steel unit from XV Motor Sports along with their tubular steel inner fender braces.  Together these tie the front of the chassis together for strength and high performance handling.  The rear of the car is reinforced with 1/4" steel plates welded along the brace that runs from rear wheel well to wheel well.  The roll bar is made of 2 - 1 1/2" DOM steel tubes with sheet steel fabricated over the outside and painted with black crinkle paint.  The tubes are welded to 6" x 12" Steel plates that bolt to matching plates on the bottom of the car that are welded to the frame rails.

The engine was broken in and tuned on a chassis dyno where it produced 427 HP and 440 ft. pounds of torque at the rear wheels at 5000 rpm.  If we had taken the speed up to 6500 rpm where the engine is rated, we estimate that there would be another 100 HP at the rear wheels.  To compare, the original street Hemi engines produced around 380 HP at the rear wheels. The transmission was also built by Diamondback Racing. The converter is a 9 1/2" TCI unit with a 3000 rpm stall. The rear end is a Strange Dana 60 with a 355 powr-lock differential and 11 3/4" Mopar Performance disc brakes.

The front suspension is a Reilly Motor Sports AlterKation power rack and pinion system.  The front brakes are 10.75 discs with 225 - 60 - 15 tires on 7" rallye rims. The dana housing was shortened to allow use of the entire wheel well so that the 275 - 60 -  15 Micky Thompson radial street slicks mounted to 8" rallye rims fit nicely.  There is also a Just Suspensions Groundpounder 4 shock setup to eliminate wheel hop and improve traction to get the horsepower to the ground.
