The Top 10 Best Ford Mustangs

1. 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang
This car is the beginning to the history of mustangs. It was originally envisioned has a mid-engined two seat roadster. It was named after the P-51 Mustang fighters of World War II. It was first debuted on April 17, 1964. It took the auto world by storm. Over one million was built during the first 18 months after the debut. The original price was $2,368.

2. 1965 Shelby GT350
It was the first Shelby to be made in the honor of the mustang. It was the first real performance mustang. It had great design. The Shelby packed a 289 V8 with 306HP. It had a stiffer suspension.

3.  1966 Shelby GT350H
This was a Shelby built for Hentz Rental Car Company. The car would be returned to Ford to be refurbished and sell them as GT350H limited models. Hentz called the it Rent-a-Racers. The car colors where black paint with gold stripes. Also black interior.

4. 1967 Shelby GT500
It was awesome design because they made the car look slick. They were powered by 428 V8 with 355HP. 6.2 Seconds to 60MPH. It was the best affordable Shelby performance in the time.

5. 1968 Shelby GT500KR
This was the King of The Road model. It was top of the line back then. It was originally rated at 355HP and 440 Lb-Ft. It was packed with 428 Cobra Jet engine with Ram Air induction hood.

6. 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302
This was the boss in the mustang factory. It was iconic for the time. The power was rated at 290HP. It usually had Cleveland heads and a small block Windsor engine.It was decent performer. I prefer the Boss 429.

7. 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1
This was a new restyle that was sweet yet different. It was not universally loved but i love it. It is the underdog of mustangs. Mach 1 was a crowd pleaser. It was two tone paint, NACA ducts, Ram Air Hood, and stripes all over the place. It had polyurethane bumpers. It was affordable Mach 1 Mustang.

8. 1984 Ford Mustang SVO
This was an important milestone in Ford Mustang history. The SVO stand for Special Vehicle Operations. It had a Turbocharged V4 engine with 175HP. It was not cheap.

9. 1987 Ford Mustang 5.0
This was called the Fox-Body Mustang. It had the facelift that improved the mustang in the later 80s. It had some retro yet modern for the time. This was stuffed with a 5.0L V8, some had 5.0 H.O. Engines.

10. 2005 Ford Mustang
This was fifth-generation mustang, It was the retro model since the 1964 1/2 and 1965 models. It had a live rear end and potent engines. This was very good for Ford...it helped shape the new 2013 and 2014 Models.
